This session focuses on how United Methodists interpret Scripture using the Wesleyan "quadrilateral" of authoritative Scripture, the traditions of the church, reasoning how scripture is presented through the culture of the time in which it was written and how we experience Scripture in our own life and culture. Viewers will understand the difference between this approach to scriptural interpretation and a literal approach of interpretation.
