Fuquay illustrates how our own culture influences the way we read and understand Scripture. When reviewing Scripture written 3,500 years ago, viewers understand there was no concept of same-sex orientation. Viewers also read when the early church leaders break from the Old Testament law and allow gentiles into the Christian faith without requiring them to follow Jewish kosher culture. Discussion allows viewers to see how even the earliest followers of Jesus, faithful to law, see the need for interpretations and understandings to change.
