E123: 1 Corinthians A - The Most Problematic Church
The Bible in 30 Seconds or Less | New Testament: Paul's Epistles and Hebrews
The Corinthian church is probably the most problematic church that we see in the whole New Testament, more problems than any other. But what lies at the heart? I think that's chapter 15: the rejection of the resurrection. Not because they've got bad theology, but because they think they've already been raised with Christ and they need to see the resurrection as something that they still hope for. And they also think that resurrection is a purely spiritual affair and they need to understand the importance of the body and resurrection of the body. Keep that in mind when you read this book.
