E42: Nehemiah B - Rooted in Reality
The Bible in 30 Seconds or Less | Old Testament: History
The good news of Nehemiah is two fold. First that a spark of hope can be ignited even when life is in shambles and the situation looksdesperate. Secondly, Nehemiah is the only narrative written in first person singular, so we get a glimpse at Nehemiah's prayer life. The good news is that his prayers are rooted in reality and in general are short. We can follow Nehemiah's example and instead of feeling pressure to pray deep and spiritual prayers, can be freed to talk with God throughout the day. And some can be as short as his prayer "Remember me, Oh God."
